In 1760, the original recipe of this wholegrain mustard was transmitted to JB Pommery. The quality of limestone in Meaux, city East of Paris on the Champagne region, made it the perfect location for the perfect grinding stones for the mustards(+ Vinegar from the wine) ... and the rest is history!
The Pommery mustard is particulary renowned for its ceramic jar, the cork and the wax seal which has been kept since, as the perfect way of preserving and presenting the perfectly balanced mustard.
