Wellant is an apple for connoisseurs! It is one of the unique apple varieties we're famous for growing! Wellant has Cox's Orange Pippin in its parentage, but is in many ways superior to a Cox. It is superbly flavoured, firm, crunchy and juicy. Sweet with a nice tangy edge.

Wellant is the special apple which we harvest in October but reserve in our store until late spring/early summer, because it keeps so well. It is a tricky and labour-intensive variety to grow, and has a low yield, compared to other varieties. That's why we need to charge more for these apples. But the customer is rewarded with a unique apple-enjoyment experience!
