The Parting Glass - Penamonte Rosado

The colour in any Rose comes from the contact time between the pressed juice and the grape skins, the longer the contact the darker the colour and the heavier the resulting wine as the skin are also a source of tannin. A blend of Tempranillo and Grenache, the juice is only held in contact with the skins for up to five hours and then undergoes a cool fermentation which helps retain freshness and crispness in the resulting wine. The result is that this is a classic easy drinking rose perfect for a bit of summer sunshine.
