These apricots have been dehydrated to remove most of the water content. This causes the fruit shrink, leaving more energy-dense. Apricots are low in calories and are a great source of antioxidants, including beta carotene, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C. Dried apricots contain plenty of essential nutrients, like phosphorus, calcium and potassium & fibre.
Organic fruit not treated with sulphur vapor is darker in color and has a coarser texture. Generally, the lighter the color, the higher the SO₂ content. These apricots are not treated with sulphur.
