The Parting Glass - Richland Shiraz

Founded in 1945 by Francesco and Elizabeth Calabria, Richland is located in Griffith in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Today it is operated by their son Bill and his four children who proudly continue their family’s tradition in the region. Originally consisting of just a five-acre block of vineyard, today they have grown to export to over 50 countries worldwide while maintaining a reputation for producing great value wine. Some of the wine matured in oak to give them an added complexity, this is then blended with the unoaked wine to produce a softer style. This Shiraz is full-bodied with spicy aromas of sweet red berry, dark cherry and ripe plum aromas. The palate shows soft, complex fruit flavours along with liquorice, mocha and blackcurrant notes. Complex tannins give the wine a soft, long finish.
