Olivier Ravoire has passion - in fact he reckons his veins flow with Côtes du Rhône! This is the classic blend of Cotes du Rhone with Grenache and Syrah, just two of the 15 varietals that can be used when making Cotes Du Rhone. A pleasant nose of cherry and blackcurrant fruit that almost leaps from the glass, concentrated but nicely balanced, the fruit profile opens on the tastebuds with warm red fruit also joining the rich blackcurrant. A small amount of oak ageing means there are well rounded tannins and attractive, cherry and juniper fruits right through to the finish which is long and soft and enhances the jammy character of this delicious bottle.
