Seaside Squirrel - Lemon Balm Ointment

Keep this little tin handy and apply at the first sign of a cold sore to speed up the healing process; apply several times a day as required.

To make this preparation, I prune the branches off the herb and hang them upside down to dry. The dried leaves are then picked off their stem, placed in a jar, and covered in organic olive oil. The herb is left to infuse in the oil at a sunny windowsill for several weeks and takes on all the goodness of the plant, turning the oil a golden yellow. Once the infusion is strained, I heat it up, melt beeswax into it, and then pour the mixture into little tins to set. A true labour a love!

The tins are 15ml.

Ingredients: lemon balm leaves, organic olive oil, beeswax.
