Olives West Cork - Penne

A short cut pasta with the same cross section as mezzani, a grooved surface and a slanted cut. This pasta obtained Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status in 2010. This Gragnano pasta is a mix of durum wheat flour with pure local groundwater. It has a coarse appearance, typical of bronze die extrusion, with excellent sauce retention. This pasta has been hailed by world-famous, Michelin-starred chef, Massimo Bottura (as seen on Netflix series “Chefs Table”) as the “best pasta in Italy”.
