Classic, delicious, granular Parmigianno Regianno from the Reggio Emilia region, the offical region for Parmigianno Regianno. We hand-cut this every week (about 190g+-). It is aged for 24 months+ and carries the official designation on the rind . "The King of cheeses" and an essential ingredient for a multitude of dishes. Ever try this? An easy recipe for Parmesan ice-cream:
Ingredients:
- 500ml double cream
- 120g finely grated Parmesan cheese
Method:
- Heat the cream in a pan, but do not boil.
- When the cream is steaming, remove from the heat and add the gratedParmesan, stirring well until the cheese has completely melted.
- Transfer to a plastic or metal container. Leave the mixture to rest in the coldest part of your fridge for 5 hours, then keep it in the freezer for the same amount of time, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer to the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving.
