Olives West Cork - Hazelnuts (Roman)

Delicious, almost perfectly spherical, these Roman Hazelnuts are of excellent quality. There are hundreds of recipes for sweet dishes using hazelnuts from bisuits to ice-cream. Our favourite is give them a quick toast, pestle and mortar and scatter over a chunk of toasted, fresh sourdough bread, with mixed fried, wild mushrooms and some whipped ricotta. You really have to try this! These are whole Italian hazelnuts with skin on.
