Bacalhau or Salted Cod is a traditional way of curing Cod that is typical in Portugal and Spain. The salted method goes back hundreds of years in a time before refrigeration. Typical Bacalhau would normally require a full days soaking in water to reconstitute the cod with a wonderful flavour. These tins are ready to go and are in olive oil. Bacalhau is often served with potatoes and rice. Absolutely delicious
