Orzo (or risoni) is a small, dried pasta in the form of rice, which, according to the Italians, resemble barley grains. Hence the name orzo: Italian for barley. You see this pasta form in more countries around the Mediterranean. In Sicily, where the La BIO IDEA Orzo is traditionally made, it is traditionally eaten in soups.
