Butterhead is higher in nutrition value than most other lettuces, containing contain moderate amounts of folic acid, iron, fiber, potassium, and vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), as well as sizable amounts of calcium, niacin and Vitamin K.
The leaves are low in carbs, calories and balanced with a healthy dose of fibre. It's popular for lots of good reasons and great for a quick snack wrapped around some chopped rashers or a piece of cheese.
