Lannleire Honey - Cooley Mountain Bell Heather Honey

Bell heather honey is produced by honey bees foraging on the heather on the Cooley Mts in North Co. Louth. Bell heather blooms from July to early September and produces a very distinctive, quite dark honey with a flavour somewhat reminiscent of toffee. Bell heather honey from the Cooleys has won the World Cup at the London Honey Show on several occasions.
