Island Farm Foods - Crab Apple Jelly - 8 Oz

Most crab apple recipes are local to where they are grown. Our recipe is a family one shown to me by my mother in law when I married into this farm. Some fruits are green, others yellow or bright, bright red. Generally too sour or astringent to eat raw, they are cooked with lots of sugar to make crab apple jelly and crab apple butter, or roasted whole alongside meat. We have several trees on the farm with all different colors of crab apple and the color of the jelly varies from tree to tree. This jelly is best served with any meat but goes rather well with turkey or chicken. Available in a spiced version also. Hand picked, hand processed and made in small batches.
