Glacé Cherries are infused with sugar to preserve them - so are not the typical bright red colour that you would expect from other sources, but perfect for putting on top of black forest gateaux!
Cherries have high levels of disease-fighting antioxidants. They also contain other important nutrients such as beta carotene (19 times more than blueberries or strawberries) vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, fibre and folate.
These are a natural product so therefore the size can, and does vary.
