Made with ingredients foraged in Courtown Woods and its surrounds this healing salve is based on a popular recipe dating back to the early middle ages!
Containing the following ingredients
Selfheal flower is antibacterial, astringent and antiviral and Plantain contains plant compounds that may reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and promote wound healing. These are blended and infused into organic olive oil. A process that takes over 48 hours to ensure every drop of goodness is taken from the plants before the plants are composted.
This oil is then blended with locally sourced beeswax to create a wonderful little healing salve that has been used for centuries! Many an Irish dresser contained a jam jar filled with some variant of this salve natural salve!
An all-natural alternative to sudocrem or savlon it can be used for everything from extremely dry skin, bites, burns, spots, stings, ingrown hairs, scaly elbows, athlete's foot, cold sores, and much much more!
