Lonicera caurulea 'Zojka'
Producing sweet berries high in antioxidants and vitamin C, Honeyberries are a more recent addition to the fruit garden. From the Honeysuckle family, Lonicera caurulea 'Zojka' is a very easy, hardy and sturdy bush growing to aprox 2m allround. 2 different varieties are recommended for improved fruit production. Honeyberries tolerate various soils as long as well drained. Full sun or part sun is ideal. Shelter from the hottest position to prevent scorching. Apply a slow release top dressing of rich compost or seafeed in early Spring. A gentle yearly prune will encourage new shoots to replace the old. An excellent addition to any fruit / forest garden that can adapt and be contained in a planter if space is limited. A perfect for pollinators plant.
