One of the taller Fargesia, upto full height of 5m within 5 years. An excellent hedging plant due its wind tolerance and tendancy to stay in leaf through winter. Doesn't need anual cutting like of other hedges. Robusta Pingwu grows into a very tight screen of green and white checkered canes offering excellent protection and shade for the forest garden and wildlife.
Non invasive habit, clump-forming bamboo
