Like the swells and the surges of the wild Irish Sea against the Jagged Silurian Sandstone Rocks that lay nestled across Dundalk Bay, Ravenrock Premium distilled Irish Gin will awaken your senses, surprise your taste buds and reinvigorate your soul.
Ravenrock Gin is distilled through authentic Irish made Copper Pot Stills at Dundalk Bay Distillery. Located less than 1km from the Dundalk Bay coastline, we are inspired by our local natural vista looking out onto the Irish Sea and beyond to the Cooley Peninsula. The beautiful jagged black rock of Carrapuncha just North of Blackrock Village in County Louth inspired our minds to focus on the mineral rich composition of the rock which dates back 443 million years ago when land masses where low and the sea level was rising. After research we realised that sandstone is one of the major compositions of the rock. We decided to embrace this into our filtering process to gain a unique method in the making of our Premium Gin along with gaining the unique minerals that come from the stone as an added benefit. We have captured this iconic rock on our label with the Irish Sea lapping and breaking on its impact. For us, Carrapuncha encompasses an historic world of nature to explore, lying on the stunning shoreline of Dundalk Bay with the reinvigorating force of the wild Irish Sea that gives us a refreshing sense of freedom to create something truly unique.
Filtered through Silurian Sandstone for purity, our premium distilled gin is infused with a surprising mix of botanicals of 14 botanicals creating an exotic intensity, with Grain of paradise fromWest Africa, Eastern Indian Cardamom, local Rowan berries and dried Orange from Egypt. The botanical journey is completed as they are married with locally foraged wild Irish heather from the Cooley Mountains. All our botanicals are natural, organic and hand-picked.
