This is an ethereal mountain wine from the granite slopes surrounding Larouco, Valdeorras(Northwest Spain).
This wine is of the mountain, charged and invigorating yet silky and restrained. Stone fruits, apricots, saline and vegetal, Nacho's small batch wines really are unique and this is no exception. I enjoy this on it's own or pair with bean stews or shellfish. Tension and relief strike sweet harmony harmony in this expressive wine.
Malas Uvas, or 'bad grapes' refers to the ambiguous status of Palomino in the Valdeorras D.O.
*** For wax seals, I find it best to screw through the wax as if it wasn't there and confidently pull the cork through and out. ***
