Brian's wines - Les Larmes Des Damas - Conservatoire De Vignes Anciennes
|1 x 0g
From their vine conservatory in Marchampt, Karine and Cyril Alonso explore lost or forgotten flavours through the rare and overlooked varieties and the clones from Burgundy. This wine - The Tears of Damascus - brings together three members of the Pinot family; Pinot Fin, Pinot Direct and Pinot Noir massale from 1940. Earthy, Rose bud and lemon curd, this is and enchanting walk down the overgrown garden path. Low yielding pinot fin and direct contribute to an unusual wine that's alien to what we expect from this family of grapes in the Beaujolais.
Spontaneous fermentation and no additions.
