Some warming ginger flavours with a touch of sweetness. These crystallised ginger pieces are made with organic Peruvian ginger, so it is 3times the strength than regular ginger. It has a nice chew and then the heat starts to be noticeable and it might give you a surprise. The flavours linger in your mouth for awhile afterwards.

Ingredients: *Peruvian root ginger, *raw cane sugar. *organic ingredients

Comes in a compostable bag that can go into your brown bin or home compost. Can be kept in the car or in your bag for when you are out and about. Good to have as a warm up after a swim, a walk in the hills or just being cosy on the couch.

Can be snacked on as is or crush some up & pop a few into some hot water and enjoy a ginger drink with the pieces to enjoy at the bottom afterwards, they do not dissolve. Also, Pop some into your porridge or an apple pie or those autumn ginger biscuits.

Ginger biscuit recipe, makes 16:
Ingredients
110g self-raising flour / 105g plain flour & 1tsp baking powder and a pinch more
½ tsp bread soda
2 tsp ground ginger
50g butter, cubed
50g golden caster sugar
55g golden syrup
20g porridge oats
10g golden raisins, chopped
10g crystallised ginger, chopped

*this recipe can be easily doubled to make more
Method:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line two flat baking trays with parchment.
2. Sieve the flour, bread soda and ground ginger together.
3. Place the butter, golden syrup and sugar into a heavy-based saucepan over a low heat until they melt and combine. This will happen well before boiling point.
4. Pour the butter mixture into the flour mixture. Add the oats, raisins and crystallised ginger and combine.
5. Divide the dough into 16 balls and flatten each one onto the baking tray, leaving a little room between each.
6. Bake for about 10 minutes until they are just turning golden. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
