Big Sky Flowers - Comfrey

This perennial plant is a multi tasking wonder. It's deep tap root harvests nutrients from deep in the soil. You can then harvest the leaves for a fertility-improving mulch, to make a super fertiliser (tea) for tomatoes and other plants, or to use in your compost bin. The pretty purple flowers are an excellent food source for bees. I like to plant some beside the compost bin, so that any nutrients leaching out are captured.
