Kylemore Farmhouse Cheese is located in East Galway at the foothills of the Sliabh Aughty Mountains. We have a family run dairy farm with a herd of pedigree Holstien British Friesian cows, producing milk for over 50 years. Cheese is only produced in the months April to October with our cows summer milk and is matured for a minimum of 6 months, this natural washed rind cheese, has a creamy, nutty buttery flavour. With a closed herd of cows, the milk is produced and directly pumped to our cheese house on the farm. All manufacturing and maturing is completed onsite. It is fully traceable and sustainable from farm to fork, Bord Bia - Origin Green approved. We are proud to be producing a product that has a low carbon footprint.
