Local Located in Cork’s iconic English Market, Farmgate Café produces classic dishes based fresh ingredients sourced in the Market downstairs and from artisan producers across Munster.
Irish Lamb Stew, Fish Pie, Tripe & Onions with Drisheen, Corned Beef, and Lamb’s Liver & Bacon are seen on the menu daily. Fresh fish is purchased from the Market fishmongers in the morning, the traditional Corned Beef is cured by our butcher downstairs and then poached and served with parsley and mustard sauce. Salad-leaves come from an organic farm in West Cork, Munster cheese-makers deliver directly to the Market and the Café. Traditional soda bread and scones are baked every morning. Meat, locally reared, comes from trusted Market family butchers.
Our aim is that customers will enjoy the best of Irish food, either in the lively atmosphere of the Market, or at home with our new take-away range.
