Cooleeney Farm is a small family run farm handmaking cheese in Co.Tipperary. We produce a range of cows and goat milk cheeses both soft and semi hard. We have been making cheese on the family farm since 1986.
We use all our own cows milk and source goat milk locally from two Tipperary farmers. The fourth generations of Mahers in Cooleeney have built this dairy herd to its present high standard and the first recorded award for quality milk is noted in 1905 records. Top quality milk from animals grazing land in the Golden Vale ensures we produce delicious cheeses. You only have to try our cheese to realise two things: Mother Nature was definitely a cheese lover and you’ll never find another range of cheeses quite like those at Cooleeney Farm.
We are Bord Bia Origin Green members and aim to achieve our sustainability targets year on year. We have also been recognized by national and international awards for our cheeses.
