Cais na Tire cheese is an award winning sheep's milk cheese made from pasteurised milk and aged for 6-12 months. It has a sweet nutty, caramel like flavour and an excellent alternative to cow's and goat's cheese products. Sheep’s milk is naturally high in B vitamins including Folic acid and B12. It is also high in Vit A and D, Potassium and Zinc, all providing us with health benefits. The fats and proteins are also easier to digest than cows milk and it is recommended for Asthma and Eczema. The sheep enjoy grazing outdoors and are milked twice a day with cheese made onsite 2-4 times/week.
