Ballybrado was established in 1983 when Josef and Marianne Finke, along with some friends, emigrated from Germany and settled in the beautiful county of Tipperary to start organic farming. What started out as the idea of self-sufficiency quickly turned into an engine for the development of the organic movement in Ireland. Since 1983 Ballybrado has been involved in all stages of the organic sector: ranging from farm walks to consulting to building organic certification bodies to being involved in governmental consulting groups – Ballybrado is a real original and proud to be 100% organic.
