At Owning Market, we are looking forward to get real people getting real food through a somewhat unreal network in surreal times 😉 !

Anna and Philip welcome you to their Little home farm to put a light on local family run food businesses. In these times of Covid19, we deeply realise the need for farmers, growers, artisan food producers to team up and join efforts to reach consumers directly.

We believe in closing the ever-growing gap between the final consumers and the primary producers. The food is all the more enjoyable once we realise the knowledge behind it and the people mastering it.

The idea of a farmshop at our place has been in the back of our head for some time.
- We want to help people to reconnect with the reality of food production.
- We want people to know where their food is coming from, geographically and humanly
- We want colleagues’ farmers, growers and food producers to get a fair price for their products.

So … We are giving it a try!

Our business has been built on the reliance of our very dear Midleton customers. As that market closed due to Covid 19 we joined the great initiative started by Darina, Toby and Pam at ballymaloe cookery school via Neighbourfood platform. We are now following their step trying to get a market going in Owning.
Due to our involvement in Midleton for the past 20 years and the support we got from the many traders and food businesses there, we are gladly helping some of them to sell their produce through Owning Market. All local food producers are of course welcome to join us.

COVID 19 - Safety
We will organise a drive through system for the collection of orders by customers, from 5pm to 8pm on Saturdays. The prepacked baskets will be put in boots of the cars by ourselves.
Suppliers will be coming stocking up baskets previously.
Until further notice, our priority is the safety of all.

Dear Customers:
We will put an online collection every Sunday and you will be able to shop and pay online from Sundays until Wednesdays midnight, for Saturdays evening collection.

Dear Supplier:
Your finalised orders will be emailed on to you every Thursday nights. You will have a pick and pack pdf file automatically sent to you. It will allow you to easily prepare the orders and then allocate them to the customer basket once in Owning.
