Fernwood Organic Farm is located just 1km from Clifden town centre. We farm over 150 acres of blanket bog, native woodland and along the shores of the tidal Salt Lake. We have a suckler herd of Pedigree Dexter Cows who thrive on our wild landscape. Our vegetable garden has a polytunnel and over 20 raised beds. All of our growing is carried out without any pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Seaweed is collected in the autumn and used along with our compost which is produced on site. We grow a range of vegetables, predominantly for our accommodation business with surpluses being sold at market.
